Abhishek Mukherjee is the analyst for IDC’s Digital Engineering and Operational Technology services research. His core research coverage includes product engineering, operational technology, and the adoption of next-generation digital technologies such as IoT, AI/ML, Digital Twin/ Digital Thread, 5G and Edge, AR/VR/ Metaverse, Automation/Robotics, etc. in engineering services. Based on his background covering Telecommunications and IoT, his research also includes a particular emphasis on Communication service provider services, platforms, IoT, and edge-based services pertaining to Product Engineering, Operational Technology, and Digital Engineering services.

BACKGROUND

Previously, Abhishek was a regional analyst for IDC Telecommunications and IoT research practice. He was responsible for end-to-end management of the Asia-Pacific Telecommunication Services Tracker program, enterprise collaboration and contact center research program, IoT infrastructure, and Intelligent edge program. Prior to IDC, Abhishek was responsible for quantitative research at Kantar IMRB and was focused on B2B research, UI/UX research, and Statistical modeling.
