Research Manager, Cloud Networking Services

Taranvir Singh is a Research Manager for Cloud and IaaS Networking Services and is a part of IDC's broader Datacenter and Cloud networking research practice. In this role, he covers IaaS cloud-delivered network services, and related technologies, including cloud WANs and cloud transit networks. He researches adjacent technology areas such as cloud computing (specifically IaaS clouds), software-defined networking, API-based cloud network automation, cloud-native application environments, and related infrastructure and cloud-based network automation solutions.

 

BACKGROUND

Taranvir has around eight years of experience in the Telecom and IT infrastructure space, managing diverse areas such as research and analysis, business development, proposal management, solution architecture, and custom client engagements. Prior to joining IDC, Taranvir worked with Gartner and Evalueserve, where his research focused on cloud IaaS, traditional server and storage infrastructure, integrated systems, competitive benchmarking, end-to-end competitive landscape, discounting, and pricing strategy. Before Gartner, he was associated with British Telecom and Nokia Networks, where he was responsible for network architecture, datacenter infrastructure, and value proposition strategy for OSS and virtual/cloud network function management products across EMEA and LATNAM markets.
